Command, control centre to be set up: 'at least 50 CCTV cameras being installed in Multan'

At least 50 CCTV cameras would be installed to facilitating the Multan city police for effective monitoring and surveillance while a command & control centre would be established, said Commissioner Multan Sher Alam Masood while addressing a high-level meeting in Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Amin Vance said "we are going to establish a trust under public private partnership for taking measures for beefing up security arrangements and safety of the general public. Ownership of this trust would be given to Multan chamber." He said initial cost of this modern security system would be Rs 54,177,500 and monthly expenses would also be borne by the committee, adding the traders as well as industrialists would have to come forward for financial assistance.
