Saint Shah Shams Sabzwari Tabrez was debarred by the people and he was not given anything to eat, he got a piece of meat somehow but nobody allowed him to cook. He said to Sun "I cant come closer to you so please you come closer to me" Sun came near to earth, so close to it and cooked the meat and people escape to save their lives they jumped into river Chanab but water was boiling. That was story how Multan became so hot. Shah Shams means King of Sun.
Approach is very easy as shrine is on a main road called Baba Safra Road in Multan. This shrine was made in 1330 AD.

great effort, a slight correction though, Shams of Tabriz and Shah Shams Sabzwari are two different personalities. tourism development authority has made the same mistake as well. please correct it. the shrine in multan is of Shams Sabzwari, Shams of Tabriz died in Konya.
