Tokyo: In a simple and dignified ceremony the last panel from Pakistan for the Biggest Painting 2016 was handed to Ms. Hiroko Kawahara of the Earth Identity Project. Four panels of the painting already handed over were displayed at a charity event at a local hotel on 28 February, 2014. The painting was prepared by students of a high school in Karachi. Speaking on the occasion Ambassador Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) praised the concept of Ms. Kawahara of the Biggest Painting in the World 2016 which has brought the children of more than 100 countries together. He said that Pakistani school children who contributed would take pride in their work and participation in such a global event. The painting is to be displayed at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games after being initially displayed at Tokyo International Airport-Haneda.
It is all about Multan city of Pakistan which is said to be 5000 B.C. historic oldest living city and sister city of Rome. Rig Veda was written here, Alexander the great captured it, famous Chinese traveler Hieun Tsang visited here. Previously it was called "City of Gold" now called "City of Saints".
