Fort Munro has been cloaked in snow after snowfall began at around 8am on Wednesday. This is the first snowfall of the season. Around A foot of snow has been recorded in Fort Munro.
The temperature at 8am was recorded at -4°C. Tourists from Multan, DG Khan, Rajanpur and other adjoining areas flocked in to see the snowfall. Meher Fida Hussain, a tourist, told The Express Tribune that the government had not made any provisions for washrooms or safe drinking water at the tourist attraction.
He said restaurants had been shut down because of the cold and vendors were selling food at exorbitant rates.
