Thursday, January 02, 2014 - Multan—Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has approved 15 development schemes for the city, DCO Zahid Saleem Gondal said. The punjab government has earmarked Rs one billion for 15 projects, including Safari Park and zoo besides beatifying the city. DCO Zahid Gondal expressed these views while talking to transporters after paying visit to new bus terminal and green belts of Chungi No 9. He said facilities were being provided in the city to equate it with other big cities of the province. The DCO said a piece of 58 acre land was acquired for Safari Park and zoo on Shujabad Road and added that the wild life department had been directed to initiate work on the project at the earliest.
