MULTAN: A number
of functions were held to celebrate the Pakistan Day here on Sunday. DCO
Zahid Salim Gondal hoisted the flag at Nawan Sher Chowk, which was
later named after Shaheed Maj Jehanzeb Chowk. In another function,
Multan City Police Officer Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry distributed cheques
among the families of 35 martyred policemen. Meanwhile, Corps Commander
Lt-Gen Abid Pervez inaugurated an exhibition of weapons and other
equipments. Different kinds of war weapons, including tanks and air
defense system, were displayed in the exhibition. The district
administration organised a show of old vehicles at a high school. A
number of unique cars and motorcycles were displayed in the show.
