Agri varsity a gift to South Punjab





Tuesday, January 14, 2014 - Multan—Spanning over 730 acres, Mian Nawaz Sharif Agriculture University will be a mile-stone in the development of agriculture and promotion of its education in south Punjab.

Acting Commissioner, Zahid Saleem Gondal, said this while addressing a ceremony held in connection with handing over a new building to the varsity administration at Commissioner Office here on Monday.

He added that the varsity would extend the same standard to students that Agriculture Varsity Faisalabad was maintaining.

The Acting Commissioner urged the varsity administration to make the new block operational immediately and added the district administration would provide them security and other facilities.

Gondal stated that for the varsity they had allocated 180 acres of land on Old Shujabad Road, 500 acres at Jalalpur Pirwala and 50 acres at Mukhdoom Rasheed.—APP
