Google Inc : Experts prepare footage of historical places for Google Net
A two-member team prepared footage of historical and recreational scenic spots in South Punjab including Multan to make it a part of Google Net, officials said on Thursday.
The team members Tahir and Faisal were assisted by In charge Sales and Tour Promotion, Tourism Development Corporation Punjab (TDCP) Multan region Sheikh Ijaz.
Ijaz said the team members employed a highly professional camera powered by fifteen lenses to prepare footage of three historical places in Multan, including mausoleums of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya Multani, Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam and memorial of peter Alexander (red stone memorial), all located at the ancient Qasim fort in the heart of the city.
The team also reached Mailsi, some 70 kilometres away from Multan, to prepare footage of famous and old Jhandeer library.
The TDCP official said the Google team was preparing video footage of cultural, historical and scenic spots in Pakistan to ensure access of people from all over the world to the relevant information and added that it will help strengthen tourism sector in Pakistan.
