MULTAN - PM Yousuf Raza Gilani laid foundation of the Multan Gymkhana project on Friday. Gilani unveiled the plaque following a detailed briefing on the project from DCO Zahid Akhtar Zaman. The DCO said the Gymkhana would be built on a 57-acre land in Moza Balail, some 16 kilometers away from Multan. Rs 40 million was received a couple days ago for this project, Zahid said.
He stated that the Gymkhana, to be affiliated with the Islamabad Club, would have a marriage hall, cinemas, a library, swimming pools, squash courts, a card room, 56 rooms, a restaurant and 24 suits. He apprised the PM that hiring process of a consultant, who would design the gymkhana and would also supervise execution of this project, was in progress.
