New NHA Regional Office Multan

MULTAN: Federal Minister for Communication Arbab Aalamgir said that PPP-led government launched a number of development projects in South Punjab which increased the importance of the backward region.

After the inauguration of newly constructed National Highway Complex here, the Federal Minister said that NHA Complex was constructed with the cost of Rs 100 million at an area of 26 kanals.

Earlier, the office was established in a rented building for which the NHA had to pay Rs 5 million annually.

The minister said that establishment of regional office was essential in South Punjab. He said that different NHA projects worth Rs 15 billion are under way in the region.

On this occasion, Federal parliamentary secretary Saeed Iqbal, secretary communication Anwaar A Khan, Chairman NHA Muhammad Ali Gardezi and other officers were present.
