She declared this while talking to Resident Editor Nawa-i-Waqt Multan Shamim Asghar Rao during her visit to Nawa-i-Waqt/The Nation offices here. She disclosed that the US government was going to launch a number of new training and exchange programmes for the journalists.
“The largest exchange programme in the world is currently going on in Pakistan,” she added. She said that the consulate would extend support for holding workshops and seminars in Multan Press Club.
She further revealed that the Consulate was also going to launch an E Library very soon. “It will enable journalists to access Consulate’s rich library from their own computers. What they need to do is to just contact us and get log-in name and password,” she added. She hoped that the library would benefit the journalist community a lot.
