MULTAN: A puppet show organised by the Multan Council of Arts spread smiles in Multan as it entertained and educated primary school students.
The Multan Council of Arts revealed that the puppet show has been established to provide free entertainment for students less than 10 years of age. Students from various government schools of the city have also been invited to the event free of cost.
However, the puppet show is not a mere spree for entertainment but also plans to educate children on various moral and civic duties of society. Through the show, students will imbibe important lesson that incorporate the value of honesty and virtue.
In response to the collaborative effort, it was noticed that the primary students really enjoyed the narrated stories and their parents also came forth to express their appreciation for the event.

Other parents at the occasion also highlighted the fact that the government has deprived students of their basic entertainment and has never given priority to the matter but with the advent of this event, it was felt that the Multan Council of Arts has finally taken a step in the right direction.
Farooq Joiya, the Resident Director of the Multan Council of Arts said that they intend to continue to hold such events especially for the children and appreciate the support received from schools and students.

While talking to The Express Tribune, the council further revealed that they had especially planned the puppet show according to the age and learning level of children. Some of the stories told were designed to create a sense of national unity, patriotism and solidarity for the people of Pakistan and the armed forces.
