Punjab Prisons Minister Ch Abdul Waheed Arrain has disclosed that the
Punjab Government has released Rs500 million funds for Multan Safari
Park.
Talking to the journalists here on Tuesday, he added that the funds had been released on a special directive of Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif. He said that the Safari Park and all other projects like Civil Secretariat and Multan Metro would be accomplished at all costs. He disclosed that although the Mutlan Metro project was opposed by local parliamentarians, it would be launched very soon as teams to prepare feasibility had reached Multan for this purpose. He hoped that the problems being faced by the locals would be resolved at their thresholds after establishment of South Punjab civil secretariat.
He further disclosed that the provincial government had also approved a grant worth Rs500 million for Multan Gymkhana club. He hoped that the projects launched by the current government would give multiple recreational opportunities to the residents of entire South Punjab. He told the journalists that the Punjab Government had approved a project for the carpeting of Vehari Road between Chowk Shah Abbas and Vehari Chowk and installation of street lights as well as construction of Khanewal Road. He said that two colleges for girls would be set up in PP-196.
