PR reduces fare of Musa Pak
LAHORE (APP): Pakistan Railways (PR) has decided to reduce the fare of Musa Pak train running between Lahore and Multan to facilitate the passengers of the country. According to a press release issued here on Sunday, the decision will be applicable from November 21. The reduced fare for Air Conditioned business from Lahore to Multan will be Rs 950, Air Conditioned Parlor charges will be Rs 850, fare of economy class seat will be Rs 400 while charges for economy berth will be Rs 400. Charges for Air Conditioned Business from Lahore to Kot Lakhpat will be Rs 270, fare of AC parlor will be Rs 210 and the fare of economy class will be Rs 60.

PM of Pakistan approved idea of Mono Train in Multan on BOT basis.
No one is ready to invest even in Paksitan even Lahore and Karachi then who will invest in Multan?
A public private partnership can be made on existing line. Multan is lucky to have railway line in the center of city and passing near most congested areas too.
There was idea of having a monorail in Multan which was approved by PM if any investor were interested.
There is also another solution of reducing traffic from road is giving a Metro Train Multan MTM from Shujabad to Tattaypur stopping at six Railway Stations of Multan named

• Muzafarabad Railway Station

• Multan City Railway Station
• New Multan Railway Station
  
• Piran Ghaib Railway Station

1. MTM - A similar service can be started from Muzafargarh Railway Station which is even better. It gives a 50km track with coverage of eight railway stations Specially one up at morning and one down at evening to bring and take people of Muzafargarh who work Multan
   
2. And there should be greenry, trees all around the railway track which lies inside Multan City
   
3. Provide a local transport at City Railway Station which bring passengers at least upto BZ University.
