Old Jet Fighter F-86 Sabre on Chowk Kumharanwala Multan

Introduction

There was an old jet fighter parked on Chowk Kumharanwala  (means potter's roundabout) , a large six leg intersection in Multan at entrance of Multan City. Also called Chowk Qadaffi and Jinnah Chowk previously. Now it has been removed due to construction of a level 2 flyover at the place. There is another similar jet fighter in Qasim Bagh Kohna Fort of Multan

The North American F-86 Sabre was a post-war jet fighter that entered service with the United States Air Force in 1949 and was retired from active duty by Boliva in 1994. F-86s were licence-built in Italy by Fiat Aviazione and in Japan by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries; while variants were produced in Australia as the CAC CA-27 Sabre and in Canada as the Canadair CL-13 Sabre.
