Multan to receive ‘big city’ status: Shahbaz Sharif
MULTAN: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced to give ‘big city’ status to Multan here on Thursday.
Punjab CM is on one day trip to Multan to review the Metro Bus project. While talking about the cost of the project, he said that Metro Bus project in Multan will require 30 billion rupees for its completion.
Sharif also announced to inaugurate Multan Metro bus project on this year’s independence day, i.e. 14th August.
Metro Bus project in various cities has been appreciated and criticized alike in different circles of Pakistan. Opposition parties are not a very huge fan of this project as they think Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have more important tasks to accomplish than metro bus project.
