Monument of Muhammad Bin Qasim would be constructed at Vehari Chowk

MULTAN
District Coordination Officer Zahid Saleem Gondal declared on Wednesday that a monument in memory of Muhammad Bin Qasim would be constructed at Vehari Chowk to pay tribute to the great Muslim conqueror.
Addressing a meeting at his office, he added that the monument would also highlight the historical importance of Multan. He said that Multan possessed rich historic and cultural heritage but now the city needed to be developed on latest lines so that the living standard of the residents of the town could be lifted. He lamented that the past projects lacked proper planning and anticipation of future needs as a result of which the city faced serious traffic and sewerage problems. He said that he strived hard to get the city rid of problems like sewerage, encroachments and broken roads through concerted efforts. He said that all major roundabouts and roads were decorated with greenery and the dream of turning the town green was materialised.
